Sally Miller
Head Coach
Sally Miller is a highly experienced and successful collegiate softball coach, serving as the Head Softball Coach at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), where she has led one of NCAA Division III’s most accomplished programs since 1996. In her first season taking over the program, Miller guided TCNJ to its sixth NCAA Division III Championship, and she has consistently kept the Lions competitive over her long tenure. Under her leadership, the team has won multiple New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) titles, appeared in numerous NCAA tournaments and regionals, and produced many All-Americans and Academic All-Americans. She ranks among the winningest active coaches in Division III softball by both win percentage and total victories, reaching key career milestones such as her 700th win in 2023.
Before coaching at TCNJ, Miller was a standout third baseman at the University of Iowa, where she captained the softball team and helped lead the Hawks to a Big Ten Conference championship and an NCAA Regional berth. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science and later earning a Master of Education in Athletic Administration, she held assistant coaching positions at Princeton University, Michigan State University, and Indiana University before joining TCNJ’s staff. Over nearly three decades as head coach, Miller has fostered a strong competitive culture, produced top-performing student-athletes, and elevated the profile of TCNJ softball within Division III athletics.
