Sahel Anwar is the head coach of Fordham University squash in the Bronx, New York, and has led the program for a decade. In his first season, Fordham reached the Chaffee Cup final at the CSA Team Championship and recorded its first 20-win season in recent memory, with nine players posting at least 15 individual victories and three topping 20 wins.
Anwar followed that by guiding the Rams to another 20-win season and the program's first Chaffee Cup title in recent history, then repeated the feat in 2019-20 as Fordham won 21 matches and claimed the Chaffee Cup again. Fordham added another 20-win season in 2022-23, when seven players finished .500 or better, and the Rams won 21 matches in 2023-24. That season also saw Sofia Arseniev and Henry Frawley become the first Fordham mixed doubles team to reach the semifinals of the CSA Mixed Doubles Championship.
