Ryan Theriot
Assistant Soccer Coach
Ryan Theriot is in his second season as Assistant Soccer Coach at East Mississippi Community College (EMCC), working under Head Coach Chris Rash for both the men’s and women’s programs. A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Theriot previously attended EMCC and later played for the men’s soccer team at Hinds Community College, during which time he was reunited with Coach Rash when Rash served as an assistant at Hinds. Theriot helped lead Hinds to a 7-4 record in the spring 2021 season, including a seven-match win streak and postseason playoff appearance.
In high school at St. Aloysius in Vicksburg, Theriot was a standout forward, earning all-county honors and leading his team to consecutive MAIS Class AAA championships in 2018 and 2019, scoring 49 goals as a junior and 55 as a senior. He also starred as a wide receiver on the football team. After his playing career, Theriot completed a bachelor’s degree in sport management in 2023 at the University of Southern Mississippi, and then earned an MBA while serving as a graduate assistant at the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security. At EMCC, Theriot’s first year contributed to strong academic marks by both soccer squads — men’s team GPA of 3.31 and women’s team GPA of 3.40 — earning NJCAA All-Academic Team honors for both.
Theriot brings dual-program coaching experience, strong recruiting and player-development credentials, and a deep personal connection to EMCC’s athletic community.
