Ryan Rainer serves as Assistant Coach for University of Oklahoma's Men's Golf program in Norman, Oklahoma. Rainer will enter his third season as an assistant coach at Oklahoma in 2025-26, expanding his role to work with both the men’s and women’s golf programs. A former standout golfer at the University of Kansas, Rainer was hired by head men’s golf coach Ryan Hybl prior to the 2023-24 season and spent his first two years working exclusively with the men’s program.
In 2025-26, he added responsibilities assisting head women’s golf coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell. Beyond coaching, Rainer serves as the programs' liaison to both the Chip in Club, Oklahoma men’s golf’s partner organization, and the Women’s Red Tee Club, the fundraising arm for the women’s program — both dedicated to advancing OU golf. In his second season with the Sooners, Rainer contributed to another standout year for Oklahoma, which extended its NCAA Championships streak to 14 consecutive appearances after winning the NCAA Amherst Regional. OU secured five tournament victories — the second-highest total in the country — and compiled an impressive 169-33-4 record en route to a No. 7 final national ranking.
