Ryan Licht
Assistant Coach
Ryan Licht is a seasoned lacrosse coach and former elite-level player beginning his fourth season (2026) as an Assistant Coach with the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s lacrosse program in Hoboken, New Jersey. At Stevens, Licht contributes to all facets of the team’s on-field strategy and off-field development, working closely with student-athletes to enhance defensive play, recruiting efforts, and overall team performance within the competitive Middle Atlantic Conference.
Prior to joining Stevens, Licht built a strong coaching résumé across multiple levels of the sport. He served as both the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Montclair State University, where his leadership helped secure 19 wins and consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference playoff appearances. Before Montclair State, Licht was head coach at Immaculata High School in New Jersey, guiding the Spartans deep into the state playoffs, and he spent four years as an assistant with Somerville High School, helping lead the Pioneers to several state championship game appearances. Licht’s coaching career also includes experience at Creekside High School in Florida and youth lacrosse leadership roles, including serving as Chief of Player Development and Youth Director with the Riot Lacrosse Club.
Licht brings extensive playing experience to his coaching. A standout four-year player at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, he earned multiple All-MAC Freedom honors, captained the team three times, and was later inducted into FDU-Florham’s Athletics Hall of Fame. He went on to play professionally in Major League Lacrosse with teams like the Denver Outlaws, San Francisco Dragons, and New Jersey Pride and represented Team Ireland internationally, winning gold and silver medals while captaining the squad for eight years.
