Grubb previously worked alongside DeBoer at Fresno State and Sioux Falls, building high-powered offenses that consistently ranked among conference and national leaders. At Washington in 2022 and 2023, his offenses led the nation in passing and were among the top units in total offense and scoring, while quarterback Michael Penix Jr. earned the Maxwell Award and first-team All-America honors. Grubb also developed standout offensive lines at Fresno State and Eastern Michigan, where his units ranked among the nation’s best in sacks allowed. A native of Kingsley, Iowa, Grubb earned his bachelor’s degree from Buena Vista University and a master’s degree from South Dakota State. He and his spouse, Stephanie, have one daughter, Falynn.
