Ryan Grinnell is an assistant coach for the Wake Forest track and field and cross country program in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he has worked since August 2023 with the jumps, hurdles, and combined events groups.
At Wake Forest, Grinnell's athletes have produced four school records and 23 top-10 marks in program history. In 2026, Seren Rodgers won the ACC indoor pentathlon title with 3,989 points, the third-best performance in school history, and later finished second in the heptathlon at the ACC Outdoor Championships with 5,575 points, the second-best mark in program history. In his first season, Robbie Grace broke the school indoor and outdoor long jump records and earned outdoor NCAA All-America honors, while Addison Berry moved to No. 2 in school history in the indoor pentathlon and ranked among the top 21 performers in the NCAA for the 2024 season.
