Ryan Cole is an assistant coach for the St. John's University volleyball program in Queens, New York, and entered his fourth season on staff in 2024.
Since joining head coach Joanne Persico's staff, Cole has been part of three straight 20-win seasons and three consecutive NIVC Tournament appearances. In 2024, St. John's again reached the 20-win mark and made another NIVC appearance. In 2023, the Red Storm posted the program's 13th 20-win season, finished as BIG EAST Tournament runner-up, and advanced to the second round of the NIVC after a sweep of Howard. That season also included a 3-2 BIG EAST Tournament win over nationally ranked Marquette and a berth in the program's third BIG EAST title match. Cole and the rest of the staff were named the 2023 BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year, and he coached multiple conference honorees, including two All-BIG EAST selections, a BIG EAST Freshman Team selection, and AVCA All-East Region pick Erin Jones. In 2022, his first season at St. John's, the team recorded the program's 12th 20-win season and its first NIVC Tournament victory, while producing two unanimous All-BIG EAST selections and additional AVCA regional honors.
