Ryan Badrtalei is an Assistant Coach for San Diego State Men's Basketball. He joined the Aztecs in May 2024 after a long run at UC Irvine, where he served as associate head coach for four seasons following 15 years as an assistant. At SDSU, his work includes recruiting, on-court coaching, and skill development.
Badrtalei helped UC Irvine build one of the Big West's most consistent programs, including 12 straight winning seasons, multiple regular-season titles, and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2015 and 2019. The Anteaters won 303 games during his 15 years on the bench, and he helped develop numerous All-Big West honorees, specialty award winners, and professional players while earning national recognition as an impactful assistant coach.
