Ryan Ammerman

Ryan Ammerman joined the Maryland volleyball coaching staff in May 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from his playing and coaching career. A former NCAA men's volleyball national champion and NCAA Most Outstanding Player, Ammerman played for UC Irvine, leading the team to national titles in 2007 and 2009. He earned First Team All-MPSF and AVCA First Team All-American honors in 2009. After his collegiate career, Ammerman played professionally in Spain, Sweden, Slovenia, Italy, Belgium, and Croatia, where he was part of two championship teams in 2011 and 2013. He also represented the United States Men's National Team from 2010 to 2015, contributing to the team's Pan Am Championship win in 2012.
