Ruth Seaborne
Assistant Head Coach
Ruth Seaborne joined the University of Maryland women's tennis program in July 2021 and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in July 2023. In her first season, she helped lead the team to a 17–9 record, which tied for the second-most wins in program history, and a season-high ITA ranking of No. 33. Under her guidance, the team achieved a 15–12 record in the 2024–2025 season, finishing No. 56 in the final ITA rankings. Seaborne's coaching has been instrumental in the development of players like Kallista Liu, who earned First Team All-Big Ten honors and was named the ITA Atlantic Region Most Improved Player in 2025. Before her tenure at Maryland, Seaborne served as the assistant coach and interim head coach at the University of Arkansas from 2019 to 2021. During her time at Arkansas, she coached and developed the doubles duo of Tatum Rice and Lauren Alter to a career-high ITA ranking of No. 8 in the country and an Elite 8 finish at the 2019 National Fall Championships. She also helped guide multiple singles players to appearances in the top 125 ITA singles rankings and a top 50 team appearance during the shortened spring of 2020
