Russ Dekker is the head diving coach for the University at Buffalo swimming and diving program in Buffalo, New York, and enters his 11th season leading the Bulls' divers in 2025-26.
Buffalo's most recent seasons under Dekker have included repeated conference recognition and regular NCAA Zone representation. In 2024-25, he was named MAC Diving Coach of the Year for the fifth straight season as Buffalo collected five MAC medals and advanced five divers to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. Marialis Kwak was voted MAC Diver of the Year for the third consecutive year, won the conference titles in both one-meter and three-meter diving, and earned All-MAC First Team honors. In 2023-24, Dekker received the same coaching award for a fourth straight year. That season, Kwak again earned MAC Diver of the Year, won both springboard events at the conference meet, competed at the NCAA Diving Championships, and was named First Team All-MAC, while freshman Sophie Meuwissen became the fifth Buffalo diver under Dekker to be named MAC Freshman Diver of the Year.
