Ross Hodge is the head men's basketball coach at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, a position he was appointed to on March 26, 2025, as the program's 24th head coach.
In his first season at West Virginia in 2025-26, Hodge led the Mountaineers to 21 wins and a College Basketball Crown championship in Las Vegas with victories over Stanford, Creighton and Oklahoma. West Virginia finished seventh in the Big 12 after being picked 11th in the league's preseason poll, despite entering the season as one of five Power 5 teams that did not return any scoring from the previous year. The Mountaineers opened the year 13-0 at home, their best home start since 1981-82, and recorded notable wins over ranked BYU and Kansas. West Virginia also posted two of the three largest road comeback victories in program Big 12 history, rallying from 14-point second-half deficits at UCF and Cincinnati. Hodge became the fourth coach in school history to win 20 games in his first season and the third to capture a postseason tournament title at WVU.
