Ross Button has been a member of the Gonzaga University men’s golf coaching staff since August 2018, contributing to the program’s continued development and competitive growth. Entering his eighth season with the Bulldogs in 2025–26, Button supports head coach Robert Gray in all aspects of the program, including player development, practice planning, and day-to-day operations. His experience as both a coach and a professional caddie provides valuable insight into course management and in-competition strategy, helping Gonzaga student-athletes refine their performance on the course.
Prior to joining Gonzaga, Button served as an assistant coach at the University of Idaho, where he gained experience in collegiate golf operations and athlete development. He also spent three years as the head coach at Moscow High School, building foundational coaching experience and mentoring young players. A native of Moscow, Idaho, Button played collegiate golf at Lewis-Clark State College and earned a degree in social science. His background as a player, coach, and caddie allows him to bring a well-rounded perspective to Gonzaga’s program, emphasizing both technical skill development and a deeper understanding of the game.
