Ronnie Hamilton is an assistant coach for the University of Louisville men's basketball program in Louisville, Kentucky, and he is entering his third season on Pat Kelsey's staff. In 2025-26, Louisville won 24 games, finished 11-7 in ACC regular-season play, and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament after earning the program's first tournament victory since 2017. Hamilton was recognized in January 2026 on Silver Waves Media's list of the 100 Most Impactful High Major Assistants.
In his first season at Louisville, Hamilton helped assemble an entirely new roster after the program returned no scholarship players from the previous year. The Cardinals went 27-8, placed second in the ACC with an 18-2 league mark, advanced to the ACC Tournament championship game for the first time in school history, and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019. Louisville also produced multiple All-ACC selections that season, including Chucky Hepburn, who was named a first-team all-conference player and ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
