Ronald Ramón is an assistant coach for the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, returning to his alma mater in April 2026. Before rejoining Pitt, he spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach at Iona under Dan Geriot, where the Gaels finished 18-14, posted their best record since 2022-23, ranked among the nation's top 50 in three-pointers made, and stood 31st nationally in three-point defense.
Ramón previously worked five seasons at Fordham from 2020 to 2025. During that period, the Rams produced one of the program's strongest recent runs, including a 25-8 record in 2022-23, a third-place finish in the Atlantic 10, and a trip to the conference tournament semifinals. Fordham also recorded back-to-back Atlantic 10 Tournament wins, improved by 14 victories in his first season on staff, and finished 41st nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency in 2020-21, the best mark in school history.
