Roger Wilson is an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst softball program in Amherst, Massachusetts. He entered his second season with the Minutewomen in 2027 after two seasons at Boston College, where he worked with hitting, player development, recruiting, and defense. UMass posted a .261 team batting average in 2026, its best mark since 2021, and Boston College recorded its fewest errors in a full season since 2014 during his first year with that program.
Before joining the college ranks, Wilson spent six years developing players and also coached with the Concord Raiders and New Jersey Pride. He previously worked as a player development analyst with the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies. Wilson played baseball at California University of Pennsylvania, where he was a team captain and earned a degree in pre-law.
