Roger Kish serves as Head Coach for University of Oklahoma's Wrestling program in Norman, Oklahoma. Kish was named Oklahoma’s 15th head wrestling coach on May 2, 2023, and will enter his fourth season at the helm in 2026-27. Building on the program’s momentum in year three, the Sooners capped the regular season with a pair of signature top-15 wins, including a 23-18 home victory over No. 13 Northern Iowa and a marquee comeback win over No. 12 Rutgers at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway, N.J.
Oklahoma rallied from a 14-6 deficit to secure a 19-14 victory, marking the program’s highest-ranked dual win since 2015. The Sooners finished the season with 10 dual victories — the most under Kish and the program’s highest total since 2019. OU also sent seven wrestlers to the NCAA Championships, marking the program’s highest qualifier total since 2023. In year two under Kish’s leadership, the Sooners showed significant improvement, finishing the regular season with an 8-4 dual record.
