Robin Chan
Associate Head Coach
Robin Chan is a long-standing figure in Florida Tech men’s soccer, entering his 20th season with the program and serving as the Associate Head Coach after transitioning from head coach in the summer of 2024. Over his 19 seasons leading the Panthers, Chan compiled a strong 147-114-36 overall record and guided Florida Tech to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a memorable Final Four run in 2023. His coaching excellence earned him three Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year honors and two United Soccer Coaches (USC) Coaching Staff of the Year awards alongside his staff.
Under Chan’s leadership, Florida Tech consistently competed at a high level, with the Panthers achieving top national rankings across multiple seasons and securing numerous All-Conference and All-American selections. During the standout 2023 season, the team finished 13-3-5, won the Super Region II Championship, and produced the program’s first National Player of the Year. In 2022, Florida Tech completed an undefeated regular season, captured its first SSC Tournament Championship, and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
A former standout forward for Florida Tech, Chan hails originally from Malaysia and was raised in Walton-on-Thames, England. He starred as a student-athlete and later transitioned into coaching, initially leading the boys’ soccer program at Melbourne Central Catholic High School, where he captured multiple state titles and regional championships before returning to his alma mater. Chan is deeply embedded in the Melbourne, Florida, community, where he lives with his wife Ellie, their sons, and his dog Scout.
