Robert Weiner is the associate head coach and quarterbacks coach for the University of Connecticut football team in Storrs, Connecticut. He arrived at UConn after working at Toledo with head coach Jason Candle, including a six-season run that began in 2020 as the Rockets' co-offensive quarterbacks coach. He also served as Toledo's interim head coach for the 2025 Boca Raton Bowl.
At Toledo, Weiner coached quarterbacks Tucker Gleason and Dequan Finn during some of the program's most productive recent seasons. Gleason earned third-team All-MAC recognition in 2025 after throwing for 2,515 yards and a league-best 21 touchdowns, following a 2024 season in which he passed for 2,808 yards and 24 scores while leading Toledo to a bowl win over Pittsburgh. Under Weiner's coaching, Gleason also set a career high with 336 passing yards. Finn earned second-team All-MAC honors in 2022 and helped Toledo win the MAC Championship Game and the 2022 Boca Raton Bowl, where he was named MVP. In 2023, Finn received All-MAC honors and the Vern Smith Award after leading the conference in passing efficiency, passing yards, touchdown passes, and total offense.
