Riley Boulden
Associate Head Coach
Riley Boulden joined the coaching staff at Duke University in July 2021 and has since been a key leader in the swimming & diving program. During his tenure, the Blue Devils achieved milestone results: in the 2023-24 season the program posted its highest NCAA finish ever (16th) for the women’s team, and impressive positions in men’s invitational competition. The 2024-25 campaign saw further advancement, marked by six new school records (including relay and individual marks) and multiple All-America honorees.
Prior to Duke, Boulden brought more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience. He served as a volunteer assistant at NC State for the 2020-21 season, contributed to Florida Atlantic University from 2017-2020 (helping the men’s squad to a runner-up finish in the 2019 Conference USA Championship) and worked at Army West Point from 2014-17. As a swimmer himself, Boulden competed at the University of Alabama from 2006-2010, where he set the program record in the 200-IM and achieved two Olympic Trials cuts. He is a native of Indianapolis and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration from Alabama (2010).
