Ricky Newton is the associate head coach for Northeastern University women's soccer in Boston, Massachusetts. He was hired ahead of the 2025 season and entered his second year with the program in 2026.
Before joining Northeastern, Newton spent two seasons at Holy Cross, where he was part of a staff that led the Crusaders to a 5-7-5 overall record and a 2-4-3 mark in conference play in 2023, the program's best season since 2019. Earlier, he served four years as an assistant coach at the University of Massachusetts. While at UMass, he coached Jenny Hipp and Bella Recinos, the program's first two Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year honorees, and worked with players who earned All-Atlantic 10 recognition, including an A-10 Offensive Player of the Year. Multiple players from that program also advanced to the professional ranks.
