Rick Bell is an assistant coach for Duquesne University women's basketball in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will enter the 2026-27 season in his sixth year on the staff and his fourth as defensive coordinator.
Bell joined Duquesne after more than three decades in coaching, including a long run in western Pennsylvania high school basketball. From 2001 to 2019, he served as head boys basketball coach at Canon-McMillan High School, where he led the program to its first WPIAL semifinal appearance in 2019, set a school record with 21 wins in 2017-18, guided the team to six WPIAL playoff berths, and compiled a 428-316 career record. In October 2024, he was inducted into the Canon-McMillan Hall of Honor for academics and athletics.
