Rich Costanzo is the head coach of the George Mason University men's soccer team in Fairfax, Virginia, and enters the 2026 season in his fifth year leading the program. He is the 11th head coach in program history.
George Mason went 7-5-3 in 2025, including a 5-1-1 road record, and finished 4-2-2 in Atlantic 10 play. Five Patriots earned Atlantic 10 postseason honors, including four first-team selections and one all-rookie pick. Kelly Janssen and Martim Sereno were named first-team all-conference forwards, James Eliuda and Sereno received first-team recognition in the midfield, and Jaime Godinho made the all-rookie team. Defender Javier Sanchez also moved into the professional ranks by signing with FK Jerv in Norway. Costanzo also appeared on a national stage in 2026 as an assistant coach for Genefit FC at The Soccer Tournament in Cary, North Carolina, after having played in the event in 2025 for CONCAFA SC.
