Rebecca Gardenhire
Associate Head Athletic Trainer
Rebecca “Becca” Gardenhire joined the athletic training staff at Colorado Mesa University (CMU) in 2016 and holds the title of Associate Head Athletic Trainer. She serves as a primary sports-medicine and athletic-training contact for multiple programs, including men’s lacrosse, beach volleyball, cross country, and track & field (distance). According to her profile, Gardenhire is the primary contact for men’s lacrosse and women’s wrestling as well.
A native of Las Cruces, New Mexico, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from New Mexico State University in 2013, and followed that with a Master of Arts in Sports Performance from Ball State University in 2016, during which time she worked as a graduate student athletic trainer at Ball State from 2014–16 after an internship at Greensboro College from 2013–14. During her tenure at CMU, Gardenhire has contributed to the Mavericks’ strong blend of academic and athletic success. Her longstanding service in the athletic-training office helps support multiple varsity teams across CMU’s NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics programs.
