Rasheen Davis
Assistant Coach
Rasheen Davis enters his fourth season as an assistant coach at Seton Hall University and his fifth season working alongside head coach Shaheen Holloway. Davis brings extensive Division I coaching experience, highlighted by 10 NCAA Tournament appearances across six institutions: Louisville, Pittsburgh, Xavier, Manhattan, VCU, and Saint Peter’s. He joined Holloway at Saint Peter’s for the 2021-22 season and played a key role in the Peacocks’ historic run to the NCAA Elite Eight after capturing the MAAC Tournament championship.
Davis has been part of multiple high-level programs throughout his career. At Manhattan (2012-15), he served as associate head coach and helped guide the Jaspers to 58 wins, back-to-back MAAC Tournament titles (2014, 2015), and two NCAA Tournament berths. During stints at VCU and UMass, he contributed to Atlantic 10 success, including two NCAA appearances at VCU and the development of all-conference talent. His résumé also includes coaching roles at Xavier, Louisville, and Pittsburgh, where he was part of staffs that reached multiple NCAA Tournaments and Elite Eight appearances. A Bronx, New York native, Davis earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College and a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the College of New Rochelle. His background also includes coaching at Rice High School and with the renowned New York Gauchos AAU program.
