Raphael Cerrato is the head baseball coach at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island, a position he held through his 11th season in 2025. He was appointed interim head coach on July 17, 2014, then earned the permanent job on June 23, 2015 after a strong first year leading the Rams.
By the end of the 2025 season, Cerrato had compiled a 272-275-2 record at Rhode Island and a 149-89 mark in Atlantic 10 play. His teams posted winning conference records in all but one season over that span, and the program also recorded seven victories against Top 25 opponents. His scheduling philosophy paired demanding non-conference competition with consistent success in league play, helping Rhode Island remain a factor in the Atlantic 10.
