Precious Gerardo leads the women’s water polo program at Laney College in Oakland, California, bringing extensive experience from both high school and club levels. She coached high school teams from 2009-2018, guiding them to compete in the North Coast Section with several athletes progressing to collegiate competition. She also worked with the SoAC Water Polo Club from 2015 onward, coaching youth ages 6-18 and helping the club qualify for the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics each summer. Her tracking of athletes advancing to the club, community college, and four-year levels underscores her developmental mindset. Her appointment as head coach at Laney marks an important step in her coaching trajectory, bringing her experience in program-building, athlete development and competitive preparation into the community college sphere.
