Pete Lembo is the head football coach at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, a position he assumed on January 21, 2024, as the program's 28th head coach.
In his first two seasons, Buffalo won 15 games, the best start by a UB head coach over that span. His 2024 debut was especially notable, as the Bulls finished 9-4 overall and 6-2 in Mid-American Conference play. The nine victories were tied for the second-highest total in school history and the most ever by a first-year Buffalo head coach. That season ended with a 26-7 win over Liberty in the Bahamas Bowl, giving the program its fourth bowl victory, and Buffalo closed the year on a five-game winning streak for the first time since 1959. The team's six-win improvement from 2023 matched one of the top turnarounds in the country, and Buffalo also earned a 23-20 overtime win over No. 23 Northern Illinois, only the program's second victory over a ranked opponent.
