Paul Wettemann III is the Assistant Athletics Director for Men's Basketball Administration at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, and is entering his 12th year with the men's basketball program in 2026-27. Promoted ahead of that season, he oversees administrative and compliance matters tied to the program, including budget planning, team and recruiting travel, official visit coordination, and other day-to-day operations. His responsibilities also include scheduling the practice calendar, supporting academic and community service efforts, and managing Coach Dan Hurley's calendar, while working with areas across the department such as compliance, marketing, ticketing, business operations, athletic administration, and revenue generation.
Wettemann previously served as UConn's Director of Men's Basketball Administration from 2022 to 2026 and Assistant Director of Basketball Operations from 2020 to 2022. He began with the program as an undergraduate student manager from 2015 to 2018 and later was Graduate Head Manager from 2018 to 2020 before moving into a full-time staff role. A Guilford, Connecticut, native, he graduated from Guilford High School in 2014, earned a bachelor of science degree from UConn in 2018, and completed a master's degree in sport management in May 2020. He married his wife, Danieka, in August 2024.
