Paula Perez Cubinas
Graduate Assistant
Paula Perez Cubinas joined the University of South Alabama women’s golf program as a graduate assistant prior to the 2025–26 season. A native of Girona, Spain, Cubinas transitioned into coaching after completing a four-year playing career at Jacksonville State University. During her time with the Gamecocks, she was a consistent contributor and helped lead the program to a runner-up finish at the 2025 Conference USA Championship. In her senior season, she competed in eight tournaments, averaging 77.67 strokes per round and recording 46 birdies, while earning recognition on the 2024 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
As a junior, Cubinas appeared in 11 tournaments, posting a 77.30 scoring average across 33 rounds with 67 birdies. One of her top collegiate performances came at the 2023–24 USA Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove, where she placed sixth and carded rounds of 71 and 69. During her sophomore season, she recorded 65 birdies, continuing to demonstrate steady improvement throughout her collegiate career. Her experience competing at the Division I level and familiarity with regional competition provide valuable perspective as she supports the development of South Alabama’s student-athletes both on and off the course.
