Patrick Finn
Assistant Coach
Patrick Finn is in his eighth season on the men’s lacrosse coaching staff at the University of Mary Washington, currently serving as the Offensive Coordinator. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Finn graduated from The Boys’ Latin School in Baltimore and played collegiately as an attackman for University of Virginia. During his playing years, he participated in two NCAA championship games, both decided in sudden-death.
Before joining UMW, Finn coached at multiple levels: he served as an assistant in the mid-2000s at UVA (working with the midfield), and later as Offensive Coordinator at Penn State University men’s lacrosse. He also has high-school coaching experience, including head or assistant roles in Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia, and founded the New Milford Youth Lacrosse League in Connecticut as well as the C & A Lax club in Baltimore. Finn comes from a lacrosse family—his grandfather Raymond Finn was a standout goalie at Johns Hopkins University, his father Gene played at Duke University, and his brother Kevin competed at West Point.
