Patrick Bedingfield
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Patrick Bedingfield joined the Maryland women’s golf program in the fall of 2017 as a volunteer assistant coach. In this capacity, he offers guidance, instruction, and support to the student-athletes, working alongside the full-time coaching staff.Outside his volunteer role, he has long been active in golf instruction and club management. Since 2010, he has served as the Director of Instruction at Bethesda Country Club. He has been a PGA member since 2002 and holds certifications in coaching and teaching as of 2015. Over the years he has earned recognition regionally for example, he was named MAPGA Teacher of the Year in 2021 and previously was MAPGA Assistant Professional of the Year. Earlier in his career, he worked in various assistant professional roles at clubs such as Argyle Country Club and Montgomery Country Club before joining Bethesda.
