Pablo Espitia is the associate head coach for the University of Maine men's and women's track and field program in Orono, Maine. He joined the Black Bears staff on January 1, 2023, and was elevated to associate head coach on December 1, 2024.
Before arriving at Maine, Espitia had two stints as an assistant coach at FIU, first from August 2017 to June 2018 and again from the 2020 season until his move to Maine. At FIU, he organized daily training for sprints and hurdles and also worked with jumps, multis, and throws. Espitia completed USATF Level 1 School at Johns Hopkins in July 2017 and earned USTFCCCA certification as a sprints, hurdles, and relay event specialist in August 2022. He graduated from FIU in August 2017, where he also competed in the decathlon.
