Nina Klein is the head coach of the Quinnipiac University field hockey program in Hamden, Connecticut, and was appointed before the 2023 season as the second head coach in program history.
Since taking over, Klein has overseen steady progress for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac posted its first 10-win season since 2013 under her leadership, finishing with 107 points on 39 goals and 29 assists after recording 61 points the year before. During her tenure, Francisca Eschoyez earned BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year honors, a place on the All-BIG EAST First Team, and NFHCA Third Team All-America recognition. In another season, Eschoyez was named to the BIG EAST Second Team and the NFHCA All-Mideast Region Second Team. Klein's teams have also been recognized academically, with 19 Bobcats named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad in one season and 18 earning NFHCA All-Academic Squad recognition in another. In her first year as head coach, Quinnipiac won six games, and Stella Tegtmeier became the first player in program history to receive a major BIG EAST award when she was named Midfielder of the Year. Tegtmeier also earned NFHCA All-Mideast Region First Team honors.
