Nigel Bentley is the head coach of the Boston College women's tennis team in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and he enters his 27th season in that position in 2025-26. Since taking over the program in 1999, he has overseen one of the most successful stretches in school history, with Boston College recording 10 nationally ranked finishes and establishing itself as a regular contender in the Northeast while making gains on the national stage.
Among the program's recent highlights, Bentley coached freshman Olivia Benton to a runner-up finish at the 2024 ITA New England Singles Regional after a 7-0 run and helped her qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships. In 2022-23, Boston College finished with 11 victories and a .500 record, while the team reached No. 2 in the ITA team rankings and several players earned prominent individual and doubles rankings, including Marice Aguiar, Laura Lopez, Sophia Edwards, and the tandem of Aguiar and Lopez.
