Nicole Barbella
Head Coach
Nicole Barbella enters her fourth season as head coach of the Ramapo College women’s lacrosse program, continuing to build momentum within the NJAC. She earned her first collegiate head coaching victory in 2022 with a 19–3 win over Centenary University and later secured a thrilling 13–12 overtime conference victory against Rutgers-Camden. In 2025, the Roadrunners posted a 5–8 record, marking the program’s highest win total since 2019. Under her leadership, Ramapo student-athletes have earned NJAC All-Conference recognition, reflecting steady growth and competitive progress within the conference.
Barbella joined Ramapo following a standout playing career at NCAA Division II Georgian Court University. She finished her career with 73 goals and a program-record 184 assists, totaling 257 points. As a senior, she led all of Division II with 90 assists (4.74 per game), setting both Georgian Court and CACC single-season records while establishing the conference single-season points record with 117. A three-time CACC All-Tournament selection and 2019 First Team All-Conference honoree, she also earned IWLCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team recognition. In addition to her athletic success, Barbella excelled academically, earning multiple Academic All-Conference and national academic honors while serving in leadership roles within the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
