Nick Whitworth is the special teams coordinator for Wake Forest football in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, having joined the program in 2025 after three seasons on Jake Dickert's staff at Washington State.
In his first season at Wake Forest, Whitworth oversaw one of the nation's more productive special teams units. The Demon Deacons finished fourth nationally with four blocked kicks and were one of only six FBS programs to produce two kickoff return touchdowns. Wake Forest also ranked fourth in the country in kickoff return average at 27.68 yards per return, and it was one of only four schools nationally to record both a kickoff return touchdown and a punt return touchdown. Kicker Connor Calvert closed the season by making his final eight field-goal attempts, a stretch that began with a walk-off winner against SMU.
