Nic Bankston has served as assistant director of scouting for West Virginia's football program in Morgantown, West Virginia, since 2025. He works in scouting and recruiting, supports on-campus recruiting efforts, helps oversee the scouting department's student assistant program, and manages the portal best-available board during the season. His responsibilities also include organizing transfer portal prospects, preparing in-season advance reports on opponents, and evaluating West Virginia and Big 12 rosters to identify strengths and weaknesses.
Before joining WVU, Bankston spent two years as a scouting and recruiting assistant at Jacksonville State after two years there as an equipment manager, where he also managed the CoachComm system on game days. A native of Nauvoo, Alabama, he earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Jacksonville State in 2024 and an MBA in 2025.
