Nathan Lavery has served as Drexel University's head swimming and diving coach in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since September 9, 2020, overseeing both the men's and women's programs. He became the program's 11th head coach for men's swimming and diving and seventh for the women's team.
Under Lavery, Drexel has posted strong results in competition and in the classroom. In 2024-25, the men's team finished 8-0 in dual meets and placed third at the CAA Championships, and Lavery was recognized as the CAA Men's Co-Coach of the Year. The women went 6-1 in dual competition and finished sixth at the conference meet. Both teams also earned CSCAA Spring Team Scholar All-America honors, with the men tying Harvard for the second-highest GPA in Division I and the women recording the second-highest GPA in the CAA. Five Drexel swimmers received CSCAA Scholar All-America recognition that season.
