Morgan Scott is an assistant coach for the Oregon State softball program, joining the staff in July 2025 after a successful stint at the College of Charleston. In her lone season with the Cougars, she played a key role in elevating the team’s pitching staff, helping them rank among the top teams in the Coastal Athletic Association in strikeouts and shutouts while limiting earned runs. Scott also demonstrated a strong ability to develop talent, mentoring Mackenzie Mathis to multiple conference honors, including All-CAA recognition and weekly awards. Her expertise in pitching development has quickly translated to her role at Oregon State, where she contributes to the growth and performance of the Beavers’ pitching staff.
Before entering coaching, Scott was an accomplished collegiate pitcher with experience at both UNCG and the University of Oregon. She earned multiple all-region and all-conference honors during her career, including Pac-12 Second Team recognition and leading Oregon in wins during her final season. At UNCG, she was a dominant force, earning Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year honors twice and finishing as the program’s all-time leader in strikeouts. Her transition from elite collegiate pitcher to coach provides valuable insight for student-athletes, as she brings firsthand experience, technical knowledge, and a competitive mindset to Oregon State’s softball program.
