Morgan Parsons
Assistant Coach
Morgan (Stalcup) Parsons returned to her alma mater in the spring of 2024 to join the University of South Alabama volleyball coaching staff. In her role as assistant coach, Parsons organizes team travel, assists with budget management, and coordinates community outreach initiatives. On the court, she works closely with the offense and primarily mentors the middle hitters, drawing from her own accomplished collegiate playing career. Her familiarity with the program and its championship culture provides valuable continuity as South Alabama continues to compete at the top of the Sun Belt Conference.
Before entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Parsons gained head coaching experience at the club level with LAV Volleyball Club from 2017 to 2022. As a player at South Alabama, she competed in 86 matches and recorded 429 career kills with a .292 hitting percentage, along with 281 total blocks. Her senior season was particularly strong, finishing with 203 kills and 129 total blocks while ranking among the program’s single-season leaders in block assists and total blocks. A two-time recipient of the athletic department’s Perseverance Award after overcoming season-ending injuries, Parsons was also a four-time Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List honoree. A native of Roswell, Georgia, she earned both her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and her master’s degree in public administration from South Alabama.
