Mike Randle is the director of recruiting for the West Virginia University men's basketball program in Morgantown, West Virginia, joining Ross Hodge's first WVU staff in April 2025 after previously working under Hodge at North Texas. He entered the position with 12 years of coaching experience and helped oversee a strong first season for the Mountaineers in 2025-26, when West Virginia won 21 games, claimed the 2026 College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas, and finished seventh in the Big 12 after being picked 11th in the preseason poll. WVU also opened the year 13-0 at home, posted ranked wins over BYU and Kansas, and recorded notable road comebacks at UCF and Cincinnati.
Before arriving in Morgantown, Randle spent two seasons on the North Texas staff. In 2024-25, the Mean Green won 27 games and reached the NIT semifinals while ranking among the nation's best defensive teams, allowing 60.1 points per game. North Texas also finished near the top of the AAC in both offensive and defensive efficiency, and five players earned all-conference recognition. In 2023-24, North Texas won 19 games and advanced to the second round of the NIT, with the program posting its best conference win total and league winning percentage for a first-year staff. Over Randle's two seasons in Denton, the Mean Green won 46 games, and he recruited several of the team's top contributors while working with first-team all-conference guards Jason Edwards and Atin Wright.
