Mike Leflar is the head coach of the University of Massachusetts Amherst women's basketball program in Amherst, Massachusetts, and enters his fourth season in that position in 2026-27. He was appointed the 12th head coach in program history on April 10, 2023, after previously serving on the UMass staff as an assistant coach from 2018 to 2021 and as associate head coach beginning on December 30, 2021.
Leflar has been part of a highly successful period for Massachusetts women's basketball. Before becoming head coach, he was on staff for the program's first Atlantic 10 Tournament championship in 2021-22, its NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022, and WNIT berths in 2021 and 2023. He also was part of the 2022-23 team that finished 27-7 overall and 14-2 in Atlantic 10 play, advanced to the second round of the WNIT, and set a program single-season record with 27 wins. That season also included the first back-to-back 20-win campaigns in program history, a 12-game winning streak, and the program's highest league win total in a season.
