Mike Glavine is the head baseball coach at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his 11th season as head coach in 2025 and his 19th season overall with the program after earlier serving as a full-time assistant and recruiting coordinator. Northeastern named him as Neil McPhee's successor in September 2013, and he assumed control of the program after McPhee's retirement at the end of the 2014 season. Glavine has been recognized repeatedly during his tenure, earning five CAA Coach of the Year awards, NEIBA Coach of the Year honors in 2018, three ABCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year selections, and three ECAC Coach of the Year awards.
Under Glavine, Northeastern has compiled a 357-222-1 overall record and a 164-84 mark in CAA play, with four NCAA tournament appearances. Those appearances include the only two at-large bids in the program's regional-era history. His 2025 team went 49-11, won the CAA regular-season title, swept the conference tournament, and recorded Northeastern's first regional victory since the 1970s with a 4-3 win over Bethune-Cookman in the Tallahassee Regional. The Huskies finished 25-2 in conference play, tying the most CAA wins in league history, and their 48th overall victory broke the previous conference record before the team closed with 49 wins. Northeastern entered the NCAA tournament ranked No. 19 by D1Baseball.com and finished the season leading the nation in winning percentage, ERA, and WHIP. The 2025 club also set program records for stolen bases and shutouts and carried a 27-game winning streak into the NCAA tournament.
