Mike Cassidy is an assistant coach for the University of Louisville men's basketball team in Louisville, Kentucky, and is entering his third season on Pat Kelsey's staff. He serves as Louisville's offensive coordinator, overseeing the Cardinals' offensive approach after previously spending three seasons alongside Kelsey at the College of Charleston.
At Louisville, Cassidy has been part of a rapid turnaround. In 2025-26, the Cardinals won 24 games, finished 11-7 in ACC regular-season play, placed sixth in the league standings, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after earning the program's first tournament victory since 2017. In his first season on staff, Louisville went 27-8, finished 18-2 in ACC play, placed second in the conference, reached its first ACC Tournament championship game, and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019. That season also included a major roster rebuild through the transfer portal after the program returned no scholarship players from the 2023-24 team.
