Mike Bell is the head baseball coach at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and enters his eighth season leading the program in 2026. Hired in July 2018, he became the fifth head coach in Pitt baseball history.
Under Bell, Pittsburgh has posted 161 wins, including 34 against ranked opponents, and reached the postseason five times with five postseason victories. The Panthers climbed into the national rankings in 2021 for the first time since 2013 and rose to No. 14 in the Baseball America poll on March 22, 2021, the highest ranking in program history. His teams also produced two of Pitt's best starts in more than two decades, opening 10-1 in 2020 and 8-1 in 2024. By 2025, Pitt had reached the ACC Tournament in five straight seasons after making the event only once previously since joining the league.
