Michelle Sword is an assistant coach for the Villanova University women's basketball program in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and is entering her sixth season on the staff in 2025-26. She joined Villanova for the 2020-21 season after eight years at Drexel University, where she worked under Denise Dillon.
Before arriving at Villanova, Sword spent two seasons as Drexel's graduate assistant from 2012 to 2014, overseeing daily team operations such as travel, meals, practice logistics, and office administration. She then served six seasons as a full-time assistant coach. During her time on the Drexel staff, the Dragons recorded five 20-win seasons, earned five WNIT appearances, reached three CAA tournament championship games, and won CAA regular-season titles in 2017-18 and 2019-20.
