Michael Walker is the associate head coach for the West Virginia University men's and women's swimming and diving program in Morgantown, West Virginia, a position he was appointed to in June 2024. Entering his third season with WVU, he assists with recruiting, directs practice planning, and reviews workout programs for the team.
Before returning to West Virginia, Walker spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach at Texas A&M. He previously worked at Delaware from 2018 to 2023, serving as both an assistant coach and associate head coach. Earlier in his career, he was head coach of the Fairmont Area Swim Team from 2016 to 2018 while also serving as an assistant coach at Fairmont State. He had previously spent five seasons as an assistant coach under Sergio Lopez at the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, then led the Guatemalan National Swim Team for two years, including at the 2015 Pan American Games and the 2015 FINA World Championships.
