Michael Switzer is the offensive line coach for the University of Washington football program, entering his second season in that role and third overall with the Huskies in 2026. After joining the staff as a senior offensive analyst in 2024, he was promoted following a strong initial impact. In 2025, Switzer helped engineer a significant turnaround on offense, with Washington improving dramatically in key statistical categories. The Huskies ranked among the nation’s best in red-zone efficiency, third-down conversions, completion percentage, and passing efficiency, while also jumping from 104th to 17th nationally in scoring offense. His leadership of the offensive line unit was evident through both team success and individual recognition, as players earned all-conference honors and freshman All-America accolades.
Prior to Washington, Switzer worked alongside head coach Jedd Fisch at the University of Arizona, contributing to a 10–3 season and a bowl victory in 2023. He previously served as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Indiana State, where he led one of the top rushing offenses in the nation and developed multiple all-conference players. His coaching journey also includes stops at John Carroll, Michigan, and Eastern Michigan, where he built a reputation for developing offensive talent and improving team performance. A former standout offensive lineman at Ball State, Switzer started every game of his collegiate career and briefly played in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills. His experience as both a player and coach continues to shape his effective, fundamentals-driven approach.
